Our deepest congratulations go out to Jody Gambill of Crossville, TN, for winning the Fools for a Dove Eyes to the Skies Grand Sweepstakes. We released some Rainbow EPs to the heavens, attached to helium-filled trash bags, and Ms Gambill stumbled upon one of them. And what do we have for her? A beautiful forest green t-shirt and this photograph signed by Taylor and myself. Congrats again, Jody, from the band that’s always doing something fun..
Sorry, Cactus

That’s right, fans. Fools for a Dove is proud to announce that we have opened a new studio in the suburbs of east Olive Branch. Most of our work will probably be done here, as the previous studio does not have quite as much of a work conducive atmosphere. Either way, the next album is going to be great. We will try to keep you guys updated but that’s all for now…
- Sorry, Cactus
Hey everyone. I have some great news. After a few minutes of diligent studio work, we have finally produced some music suitable for our fans to hear. Just surf over to http://www.purevolume.com/foolsforadove to hear the new demo. Obviously we didn’t spend a tremendous amount of time on it, and it lacks vocals for the moment, but overall its pretty nifty. At least I think so…but anyways. Tell us what you think and what not…
Sorry, Cactus
Okay guys, we’re sorry for the lack of updates and what not concerning our activity as a band, but quite frankly there hasn’t been much to say. At all. Literally. But lucky for you, we finally had a brief meeting today. And by meeting I mean we quickly showed each other some of our song ideas for the upcoming CD. It was a productive meeting nonetheless. We should be entering the studio as soon as possible, we are in the process of transferring locations for now though.
Don’t be surprised to see a repeat success with the next album, as it will be much like the first in the sense that every song will keep you guessing and almost none of the songs will sound anything like the others on the disc. In other words, don’t hesitate to expect the same mind-blowing phenomenon created with the Rainbow EP. In fact, we guarantee that our next CD will be one of the greatest works of musical art that you will ever experience, whether or not you know it. Be on the lookout for more updates in the future. But until then…
Sorry, Cactus

For the rest of you, just a bit of encouragement. Fools for a Dove has been sleeping, it’s true. You must feel like a Cactus in the desert. It’s been a long time since that last rain, and the water in your tummy is running down. But guys, there’s a flash flood on the way. A flood of love and joy and color and sound. Lots of sound. We’ve been working and writing for the new album, which is shaping up and coming together, but also still a white space full of possibility. And we’ve putting together some shows for the fall and winter months. So stay tuned, and tell all your friends. FFAD and you, the fans, are entering into a very exciting season
Last wednesday at approximately six thirty in the morning, I was sitting in my living room, listening to the radio, WEVL 89.9, when something magical happened. I heard the opening bars of Conquistador, Conquistador. Then I heard the rest of the song. Thats right folks, Fools for a Dove has finally cracked the radiowaves. And its not the first time, either. A huge thank you to Janet Wilson of Janet’s Planet, who somehow found our stuff and really liked it and thankfully happened to host a radio program. But really, her show is great, and I highly recommend tuning in 6 to 8 on Wednesday mornings. Now, on to the big news.
Later that same Wednesday morning, Fools for a Dove convened in Studio 1630 and began work on what is starting to look like our new full length album. You love us? Well I love you, too. Release date? Dont expect one, but I will say its after the year 2000. And don’t worry, that one song will be on there. Expect more announcements and cryptic statements in the days to come.
There is no show on Wednesday. Sorry
We want to thank all of you for coming out to see us at the release party, as well as Philadelphia for their kindness and courage in letting us play during their snack break. Thanks especially to Jason, though we’re still waiting for our surprise.. If you weren’t able to make it Saturday, have fun finding the audio recording. We’ve destroyed all of it. But it was a good warm-up for Sunday, when we brought down the house. Truly. On that note, if you want a t shirt or a Rainbow EP, we have PLENTY left over. Just let us know and we’ll work something out. Because schools almost out, if you didn’t notice. And the summer is going to be a very busy time for FFAD. Stay posted for more shows and maybe some new material? Who knows? We certainly don’t.
Also, check the press section for our first published review and the video section for a lazy recording of “Conquistador, Conquistador” from the show.
